Forget the Wine, Drink the Grape Juice
Yes, red wine has resveratrol and yes study after study shows that a glass of red wine may have health benefits for you - the problem with that is that do you anyone, I mean ANYONE that will stop at just one glass of wine? And when you drink in more than moderation, the good effects of the wine are lost. And of course, there are people like me that just plain don’t like wine.
A good solution is to drink a glass of grape juice and I don’t mean that garbage that Welches’ and other companies sell you. Those are full of preservatives and worse, high fructose corn syrup (which really is oh so bad for you - no matter what their PR says. For one it’s made with genetically modified corn that contains a combination of human, animal, insect and bacteria DNA and no one knows what the long term effects of ingesting it are - get it out of your diet).
Resveratrol in a supplement is great but you should also supplement your diet with natural sources. We get our grape juice from a Concord Grape Growers Co-op and they have a FANTASTIC product - check it out for yourself!
