Irritable Bowel Syndrome IBS

sensative bowel problemsIrritable Bowel Syndrome is a serious disorder, and can cause a great deal of discomfort and pain if not treated.  The disorder can lead to obesity, or a loss of weight.  Left untreated, it will increase the level of toxins in your body.  Some of the symptoms include cramping, changes in bowel movements, diarrhea, and bloating.  The accumulation of toxins in the body will lead to other medical disorders.

IBS will affect the muscular organs of an individual’s gastrointestinal tract, and while the condition may not produce actual ‘diseased’ tissue, the symptoms that many people experience are not just a product of the imagination.  The nerves that control the small intestines, colon, and gallbladder are affected.  IBS can also infect and cause damage to the nerves of the brain and spinal chord.

IBS can affect a person’s social life as well.  A rumbling and noisy stomach can cause the sufferer to avoid anything that involves long silent spells.  Social gatherings are a challenge too.  Imagine the irritation of having to dine only with friends or relatives that understand and tolerate your problem.  It makes people want to shy away from outside events.

IBS affects between 10 and 20 percent of the population, and is usually connected to some type of high stress factor in the early years, thus causing the system to literally burn itself out prematurely. Some people experience improvement in their symptoms by changing their diets and doing regular colon cleansing to bring relief to their gastrointestinal regions.
